Is this a relacquer?

This is a good price (in the UK!!) for 95% original lacquer "The Martin Alto"

Is it the original finish? Mine is much, much darker bronze, and my engraving is sharper

Hard to tell from photos I know, but what do you think??

It seems to good to be true from a 40's horn....

Nice horn and must be a chem-dip re-lac job. Even if it had stayed in its box from 1947 the laquer would be much darker.
