Ok, now Im going to have to poke fun at you:

I have always thought the words "Desperately need" fit with other words like "Medical attention, water in the desert, or possibly a woman :).
Im really curious as to what conditions exist to create a sax engraving emergency. Please do tell...

Ok, Im done. Nothing personal...I couldnt help myself.

Jason has been around but not recently. He is still engraving last I knew (from information only a matter of weeks old).
He does killer work and is worth the wait to find.

Good luck. Keep at it.

hahaha aparrently i'm making mistakes all over the place, so its okay. (i was hoping that if he read it, he would be like, "oh, i need to service him quickly") and, a saxophone is better then a woman. i doesn't cheat, babble on about crap, and pressing its buttons won't make it mad:)

I have spoken with Jason a couple weeks ago regarding a job I wanted him to do for a customer of mine. I know he has been going through a rough time the last several months and took on a new "real" job to help pay the bills, among other of life's complications.

I also think he "moved" again as well (at least I think that is what I last heard him say).

Regardless, I think it is safe to say that he is still in business, but his plate has been full as of late.

If you can't reach him, Eric Drake at Saxcraft/Saxology in Berkeley does nice work, although he does get busy. (Disclaimer - I haven't used him for engraving.)
I have used Eric Drake 510.843.2436 for engraving. I think he is the best of what I've seen. Tremendous finesse, not heavy-handed. Here's a few photos:

That's beautiful work and I see what you mean about not heavy handed. I suppose getting a saxophone engraved is a similar decision to getting a tattoo.

Yea, seeing as though body done, I guess if I can reach both of them, I can see who's price is lower. The only problem with light work like that is that it doesn't cover up the imperfections like deeper work does. The sax i want engraved is a markvi soprano that isn't completely mint do I need a Kindof coverup.
