Excellent playing Alex! You seem to be amazing at every instrument! Lovely flute and soprano combo. This truly is an amazing song, thanks for making such a great rendition!

https://soundcloud.com/alex-nyman-759436259%2Finvitation I love great songs and there's none better than this IMHO. I tried a few permutations of instruments but ended up with the flute and soprano as the ones that best suited it for me. If you have a minute to spare to listen please do. Always much appreciated. Kind regards, Alex.
so, first responder is here :)
Alex, I was about to start my evening meditation prior to turning in... but found your last post...

So COOL rendition!
To refresh... checked the wiki about the tune and found the names of 2 old movies (1950 and 1952). I am trying to watch all of them where are jazz standards... "Green Dolphin Street" (On green dolphin street), "The Uninvited" (Stella by Starlight) and etc and etc

Love it! I'm a big flute nerd :)

Where do you get all these backing tracks? Do you make them?

The older movies came with such great songs that are of course the standards of today. So glad you liked it Michael. Much appreciated. Kind regards, Alex

Thanks Simon. The backing track for this one came form a web site that offers the whole real book one in backing track form. Some tracks are better than others in terms of production but mostly they are good to very good and relate quite well to the original charts (other than with the right chords of course) I can flick you the link if you like? I think it was about US$35 for the complete mp3 download. Thanks for listening always much appreciated. Kind regards, Alex

Alex, I did contact the site you provided, even got the option for paying by paypal that not appears on the site. But the guy can arrange it for me.
Your recommendation is enough for me and I guess for the money there are tons of material. Do the tracks have meaningful endings? (intros easy to do :) ).
Thx.

Yes for sure I would say there are a lot of very good tracks on there. Well produced. For the money I think it's excellent value.
Thank you very much Alex.
