Hi

I just bought a second hand auto sax but find that the D and G are always slightly flat. Is this normal? or is it an instrument problem? If it is an instrument problem how can i correct this DIY? any help or advice will be apprecieted! thanks=)

I don't think it is uncommon for D to be slightly flat. How are you tuning your saxophone? Try tuning your B without the octave key slightly flat and your F# with the octave key slightly sharp. This usually gives the closest tuning for the entire instrument. Tuning to one note is not always best.

Good luck.
