Here's a recent interview I did with Nathan Childers after a performance at Birdland. Nathan has been the lead alto player in the Birdland Big Band for over 10 years and is one of those guys in New York who does more than seems humanly possible.

There's some interesting insights from the perspective of a real pro playing the tougher gigs out there.

Thanks for sharing. I met Nathan when he was at Eastman. If my memory serves me correctly, we did a society big band gig together. Even then he was killer.
