INTERNATIONAL GATHERING OF SAXOPHONISTS
Calling all saxophonists
SATURDAY 11st OF NOVEMBER 2006 - DINANT (BELGIUM)
On Saturday 5 th of November 1994, 1,048 saxophonists gathered together at Dinant (Belgium), the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, to give all together a concert in homage to the inventor of their instrument (100th anniversary of his dead) : a record that appears in the Guinness Book.
The International Adolphe Sax Association would like to repeat this event and do, if possible, even better...
To reach it they are inviting all saxophonists (amateurs, professionals, music students, members of brass and wind bands,...) to give on Saturday 11 st of November 2006 (for the 4th time) a new concert-show together for the sheer pleasure of music and... perhaps to set a new record :toothy7: !

SAMEDI 11 NOVEMBRE 2006 - DINANT (BELGIQUE)
Le samedi 05 novembre 1994, 1.048 saxophonistes se sont rassemblés à Dinant, ville natale d'Adolphe Sax, pour donner un concert commun en hommage à l' inventeur de leur instrument (décédé 100 ans plus tôt) : un record qui figure au Guinness Book.
Désireuse de rééditer cette expérience et si possible de faire mieux, l'Association Internationale Adolphe Sax convie tous les saxophonistes (amateurs, professionnels, élèves d'académies, membres d'harmonies ou de fanfares) à participer le samedi 11 novembre 2006 (4eme édition) à un nouveau concert-spectacle commun pour le plaisir de la musique et peut-être pour établir un nouveau record :toothy7: !
