The generally accepeted word has always been Vito used Yama for Altos and Tenors, and Yani for Baris and Sops.

Here is a Vito-branded Yani Tenor, however.

At first I thought seller was mistaken, but he sells a lotta saxes and indeed he is clearly correct.

Probably not worth the asking price, although it looks in pretty minty aesthetic condition and he claims its ready to play.

Anyone wanna hazard what model it might be ?

Yanagisawa stenciled the whole line for Vito.

That horn is different because (a) it has LH bell keys and (b) the body-to-bell brace is different than normal. As far as I know, only the T-3 had LH bell keys. That, combined with what appears to be a '3' to the left of the Yanagisawa logo, leads me to think that they used an older body but newer keywork.

So a T-3 body with T-5 keywork - and High F# added.

Yeah, I saw this ... too pricey for what it is, whatever that might be.

Has T50 or T500 side keys ... does not have any kind of T3 look to it at all ... the LH bell keys sure are interesting.

The pinky table is not like on any T5 or T500 I have seen.....look carefully at the hinging mechanism and barrel locations of the G# and C# keys.

Hmmm, interesting. I would have to see a Vito-branded Yani Alto to take this to be 100% true (or some sort of article or archive confirming this).
But, as there now clearly exists an example of a Yani Tenor stencil...your comment seems more plausible to me now than it did before I saw this auction horn....

I was speaking from knowledge of Yanagisawa providing the Vito VSP horns. Knowing the company made those, I would not rule out other Vito horns made by Yanagisawa. However, this is the first tenor that I've seen with that version of the Vito logo.

Right, yes it is generally accepted knowledge about the bighorns and littlehorns.

Have you previously seen a VSP Tenor or Alto ?

I have never seen a Yani Vito Alto, although I suppose given a Tenor exists it's possible....would be interesting to find one.

Right. And now...ya see...pinky table on that ended eFlay horn you linked to is completely different from table on the video horn and current auction horn.

We are only taking word of video player that it's a T3....maybe it is stamped on his horn somewhere ?

But his and the current auction horn are the same model...whatever that model may be....

Yes, both alto and tenor. They tend to be the A-6 and T-6, but sometimes the 800 series.
