Man, thanks so much for the tip. I can’t encourage poeple enough to check out that website. There are so many great interviews there including Eric Dolphy, Huston person, David Sanborn and Wayne shorter.

He’s a close friend and excellent trumpet player.
He used to teach at Jamey Aebersold’s jazz camps back in the day when Joe Henderson and Woody Shaw were there.
He left for various reasons including not getting paid much that book and others.

Clearly he didn't get much in the way of monetary rewards, and I don't mean to suggest it's a valid substitute but I hope he at least feels some psychic rewards from knowing how much that book has helped so many players.

He's a great dude too. When I live in Louisville for school, he had a weekly gig at the BEST spot, and always very inviting for young players to sit in.

He used to play with us every Monday but he's had some trumpet playing issues that made him have to back off for a while.
We were playing in a loud stage situation at another place and it seemed to really affect his chops.
We had a great repertoire of tunes together and I really miss the trumpet/tenor quintet.
