Yes, great video. Delangle has such a healthy attitude towards gear and makes the point that one shouldn't be too dependent on our equipment in order to play the music, and I think that's a great point.
I just saw Delangle in concert and in masterclass here over the weekend, and he was really wonderful - a true musician. At points, he made us forget about the instrument and the technicalities, and just became a conduit to the music he was playing. His tone was not particularly 'legit' too, being not quite as round as some of the other performers, but when he plays, these things don't seem to matter anymore.
Yes indeed, his attitude is what impressed me, as it's exactly the opposite of what happens with a lot of us in this forum. So many people get so rapped up in equipment that we sometimes forget that musical expression it's what it's all about.
