I went inside Mr. Runyon’s studio many times and each time was an experience. Heard the same stories over and over. But I always came out with some kind of new knowledge, although not always about the saxophone. He was a class act.
Also worked with this author for 5 or 6 years. Reese is a good guy; talented writer.

Would love to know which model of alto Mr. Runton was playing; the article doesn't say. I'm given to understand that he had a lot to do with the Conn 28M, so I'd like to think that's what he was playing.
