An overview of some of the players and solos that helped play a critical role in development of the swing, jump and rock 'n roll sax styles.

- Louis Jordan- 1:25 mark- 1945

- Wild Bill Moore- :54 mark- 1948

- Earl Bostic- 1951

- Big Jay McNeely- 1953- (who was investigated by a California psychiatric board for having a "detrimental effect on young audiences"!. Can you get better publicity than that!

- Joe Houston- 1954

- Rudy Pompilli (Bill Haley And The Comets)-1956 (note the label refers to the style as "fox trot"!)
