Okay I need some real help and some things to learn to get a million times better at improv. Against my better judgment I am going to post a horrible clip of me trying to improv (why am I doing this, but I guess in order to get better is why.) So here goes plus I must say if you have your volume up you might want to turn it down. Both are the not the best quality due to me using a webcam to record it, I sound a lot better in person in terms of tonal quality. As far as technicality it is as bad as it sounds. I am good at playing songs and adding some inflections but as far as kind of making up new melodies improving it is horrible as it sounds. To imagine I have been playing for over 13 yrs. I have been trying to get a good tone quality which I am still going after (as said many times before a tone similar to that of Kirk Whalum, Dave Koz and Gerald Albright).

So here goes the page with the tracks I want you guys to listen to so if your speakers are up please it down that is how bad the sound quality. The first track is more of how I am at improv, but the second track is not the best that I can do when it comes to actual playing, I am still in process of learning that tune:

Getting one on one lessons is a much more effective way to learn than posting a clip on an internet forum. We could certainly tell you about all the things you should learn but what advantage would that be for you. You need someone to sit down with you and tell you what to practice this week.
