Hello

Ive just picked up saxophone playing again after many years break. I manage to play on my self a right wrist tendonit thingy, and now have to rest some weeks. What can I do too improve my saxophone playing while resting my wrist? I only play jazz and classical. Should I learn as much music and jazz theory as possible? will this make me a better player?

Thanks!

Mouthpiece only exercises, visualization, singing, rhythm exercises with your body, listening to music, transcribe, sight-reading,.....
A lot can be done with or without the sax so it is up to you to make a list of what you want to practice and what you need to improve.
Happy practicing.

Solfege. If you don't already know solfege start and make sure you can sing any of the exercises you work on. The mechanical stuff will catch up to a sharp ear much easier than the reverse.
