Greetings everyone.

I am currently trying to identify a used Selmer USA saxophone i got for a low price.

But the majority of the sax's body is full of rust, resulting in me being unable to identify visually exactly what model is the sax.

However, i have the ID of the sax: 1215853
Tried looking around the internet for ID reference but sadly, no information at all.

Hope whoever is reading this please helpe me out.

Thanks~! :D

pictures would be a big help if you could post them.

Are the keys and rods the same "color" as the instrument, or are they silver?

What sort of bracing connects the body to the bell? Is is a removable "ring", or a fixed sort of "stick"?

Are you able to describe or see any of the engraving on the instrument? Is it engraved with floral designs or any names in addition to the Selmer name?

Answers to these questions could help identify your horn.....

Well I can't get pictures in the mean time but i shall proceed with answering your questions.

The keys and rods are of the same "color" as that of the body, not really sure about the bracing as i don't have the sax with me now, no engravings on the sax apart from the "Selmer USA" title.

So does the answering of some of these questions allow me to know what model is my Selmer?

Thanks~!:D

[Edit: I forget to mention that it was an alto sax. Sorry for the confusion!]
