So this was funny.
I am rehabbing a C Melody that is at the Tech's place now so I can't try this.
I actually have a Caravan mouthpiece arriving soon and I get my C Melody back on Saturday

But cleaning out storage, I found an old Martin mouthpiece that I thought was an Alto.
On the box it says Tenor Saxo, then handwritten "VT" (I think) x C Melody

Here's a pic of it next to a Tenor Tone Edge for comparison.
There is also an x marking on the mouthpiece
What is it?

It is Martin Frères (France). Not to be confused with Martin (manufacturer of the Handcraft, typewriter, Troubadour, Committee,...).
I guess "VT" is in fact UT.

Just an FYI,

This Martin is darker and less low end than a Caravan.
I think I am going to stick to the Martin.
More of a 'statement'.

I played the Martin today a #3 Bass Clarinet reed.
Plays great. Very happy with this
