Yes, THAT Ian Bairson, the guitarist from Alan Parson's Project! (Yeah like there's that many people named Ian Bairnson in the world; what did I mean by that?? LOL)
I found this just today and am completely and totally floored by it. Beautiful in many ways, and part of a beautiful song that APP did, one of their most poignant and thought-provoking. And yes, I will admit that after listening to it a few times, I started getting teary (partly from nostalgia, and several other reasons, including how I am moved by the song).
I knew Ian was the APP's guitarist and always liked his guitar work on their stuff but never had a clue he was a saxophonist. Thought I would share this amazing solo with all of you!
