Today i saw Mehldau J.Redman in the old Opera-house in my City....

to be honest it was a boring concert for me....

THey are nice guys but the music was FOR ME boring

I have a 90's recording Dew.Redman/Elvin Jones /Cecil Taylor I really like

Maybe I went there with wrong expectations but I thought they are THE JAZZ STARS of today....

I've seen Redman live before, and I always came away feeling like he is not the most interesting player.

Wow! I saw them together in SF and consider it one of the greatest performances I have seen.

Brad Mehldau seems to strongly advocate the "Boredom test" on his audiences. I took it twice, and miserably failed both times. He wasn't with Redman on those concerts.
