Agreed, JayeLID is the bomb for reliably adjusted second-hand horns at reasonable prices. I bought my sweet Zephyr alto from him (then known as JayePDX). He also has a good eye for "sleeper" brands and good horns of unusual provenance.

+1! I got my '61 10M from George, and though it won't win any beauty pagents, it's adjusted perfectly, with new pads and metal resos, and plays great, for a cost that was very fair, considering how well it was refurbed. (BTW, I told George I didn't care so much about appearance, so it's not as if he just sprung it on me.)

George ALWAYS offers horns at great prices. As the years have gone on here, I have really enjoyed his posts. Very passionate person, and I greatly respect that.

Are you talking about Japanese built Yamaha Vitos, or other types?

The Japan Vitos are indeed excellent instruments. Probably the best value in entry level modern saxophones.

I like Jaye, I make a point to read every post of his I see.
