I have an old Vito tenor sax. Is there any way to identify the model number? The serial number is 000932. It is silver plated. There is an asterix over the I in Vito. It has triangular cut outs on the key guards. I would really appreciate any help.

thanks

An early one, too......oomph, those are butt-ugly horns....
No, don't hold back, say it like it is...:bluewink:

Thankfully horns don't necessarily play like they look - thank goodness, otherwise most of my very special (to me) horns would be classified as 'dogs' Long live 'ugly', keeps horns affordable !

Yes, except....those ARE dogs...I mean, setting aside the 80's clunky aesthetic. After fixing up one once....I'll never work up another early Yammy Vito....they are just mediocrity at its finest....and if one can at least make an argument that the 90's ones are better and a tad more sought-after.... these early ones are particularly forgettable. This won't play very well, nor will it sound decent.....

And far from my judging by appearance...one might wanna take a gander at my site; because more often than not it is a peep-show of the aesthetically-challenged. But at least that stuff is solid, tried-and-true.

Just a word of advice, if you are thinking of fixing and flipping this one....don't bother....it's a sink.
