I knew I liked the results on Soprano. I tried the Hard Forestone for tenor first, and it was too difficult for me. I've sanded a little off without harming it, but was afraid to go too far. Anyway, I just received the Medium from Sax Alley, and I really what I'm hearing today. It will make it easier for me to double and switch quickly without needing to wet a reed. Fibracells are sometimes nice, but I find the tone a little deeper and sweeter with the Forestones, and my scoops have improved with them too. The trouble with Fibracells is that they don't seem very consistent, in my experience. Anyway, I'm happy! Sweet music time!

I love the black bamboo as well! I have them on S/A/T. Still loving them, even more since my embouchure adjustments.

I ordered a sample pack when they first came out and a tenor 2 1/2 played really nicely. I ordered another a couple years ago and it was not the same at all, but these were the traditional models. Maybe I’d like the black bamboo.
