Hey everybody, thanks for all the responses! Makes me feel great all over again. Someone asked about songs, we did stuff like On Green Dolphin Street, All Blues, All of Me, Prayer Meetin' and Crescent City Stomp. There were free swing dance lessons before we got started so there were lots of people dancing. Can't wait to start calling everybody "man" and wearing shades at night. Despite my status as an old lady (57) I have 3 teenagers who are still in school. I'm always on the lookout for new ways to embarrass them.

Or set an example for them (later when they figure out the old lady wasn't so dumb after all) that it's fun to keep growing and learning no matter how old you are.

Congrats CC!!! I guess I better get on the stick, if you've only been playing 5 1/2 yrs! I'm on my 4th yr, and though I'm coming along, I'm nowhere near doing what you're doing!
Be very proud of yourself!

Great job Cheese Cake! Nothing like everything that comes with your first performance. May there be many more fun times playing.

Sweet! Playing out is fun, it's energizing, and music keeps you young
