Hey everyone! Back with a new video on how to teach Smooth Jazz. I know a lot of you have students (or are a student yourself!) and want to know where to start actually teaching Smooth Jazz. I think the first step is technique, and in this video I show you EXACTLY how to teach it! Let me know what you think and keep me posted of the results you have with this in your own lessons!

I am actually offended you destroyed a perfectly nice Bundy I......

(my method is much simpler, just pop the student some downers before the lesson begins)

Technique tips:

Don't forget hair, makeup, and decolletage.

Please also discuss the skill of effective emoting - facial expressions, shoulder waggling, etc.

Yeah, tho' I used to be a nay-sayer, I think you may be on to something, Dave.

Be well,

George

Well now I know that I was on the wrong path to improve my technique ...
Dave,
should the twist of the body not be bigger at the time of throwing out (2:07), just for perfect timing?

Love the video. By the way, I spent a good chunk of my practice time today trying to figure out the line your friend was playing at the beginning. Very hip chop-buster.
