I have never found any documentation that shows more than two finish options for Ref 54 tenors, but the more "traditional" look is called different things in different ads -rose gold, dark lacquer, honey lacquer, etc. Since the lighting in various ads is not the same, it's impossible for me to determine if there are only two finishes, or if there are perhaps three.

As I understand it, the "traditional"-looking lacquer (or one of them) costs more and was limited edition "F" until recently. Is there only a "regular" matte/vintage/whatever and a honey/rose/dark lacquer version?

Can someone authoritatively clarify the situation?

Thanks.

Yes there's only two finishes being offered to the masses as this time.

Rose gold lacquer (54LE and ref 36) and the matte finish.

The rose gold lacquer 54 even though it's more common these days is still a $200+ upcharge over the matte finish. Seems silly that they upcharge for a finish that is offered on the 36 with no upcharge. Not really a big deal if your spending that kind of money you might as well get the one you want.
