I'm just interested to know the percentage of us that use more than one piece ( per horn ) for different playing situations.

i've got an adjustatone so it's every mouthpiece i've ever wanted in one :D
:? And how is that mpc? I've seen it only once in Holland in a shop and the guy there said it was just a curiosity but wasn't any good and that they leak, is it true? Could you publish some sound clips in various position of the baffle? ;)

it's great!! it doesn't leak or anything, it's an older one, the more modern ones have more plastic in them and may be rubbish, but this is totally hard rubber and on alto and tenor it's fantastic, (not the same mpc ;) i have 2)
i will try some clips but i don't have a decent microphone yet and also our computer shares a wall with my neighbours study, who doesn't like it much...

On tenor I use the same Lawton 6*B I have had for years for everything.
On Alto I am still deciding between a Lawton 6* and a Selmer Super Session. The choice once made will be one mpc for everything.
On Bari I use the one mpc.

I use a Selmer SS D for Lead Alto Big Band, Meyer G Series 6M for Jazz combo work and a Selmer D* for concert band. When I played my Yamaha alto I was able to do everything on an old Meyer 6M, which I hate on the Selmer.

at the moment I use a Vandoren Blue Java T75 for my Super 20 tenor and a Otto Link stm 5* for my Martin Committee RMC.....I recently tried something else for both horns but for the time being.....I find it already different to simply play, let alone playing differen styles:)

One for legit, one versatile piece for jazz, and one for honkin' and screamin'. Oh wait - that IS my legit piece :)

I try to keep it to one mpc for jazz and one for classical per sax.
...but that doesn't keep me from shopping around.

For the smallest and largest horns I can get away with one setup but alto and tenor are beasts...I need 3 pieces...a classical, small combo/intimate piece and my screamer/fusion piece...I know people say they can play anything with a meyer but for pop solos a meyer is just oo much work...

Cheers

(and several in backup)

for alto I basically have 1 main piece

for clarinet .. well, I have 3 main clarinets and a couple mpcs for each as main mpcs
