How do I try out reeds

Knowing that here in Belgium, you pay at least 10€ for 5 reeds, and 23€ for 10, I was wondering how I can find out what reeds play the best for me. I mean, if you try out and maybe you've lost 10€, plus you have 4-5 reeds that you don't need. Aren't there any "tryout" boxes or something? With all kinds of strengths?

How long have you been playing? Most beginners will start with a 1-1 1/2. Try the known brands like Vandoren and Rico. This is a good starting point.

You won't find any try out boxes mon ami, unfortunatley you can't acount for the inconsistency of wood.
