Hey all!

Thought I'd share a new track that me and my section (Triple H Horns) recorded with bassist Melvin Lee Davis (Lee Ritenour / Chaka Khan), Oscar Seaton and Jeese Milliner.
It's a pretty hip track so some of you here may appreciate and enjoy it!
I recorded on my Yamaha Atelier YTS - 82Z and Yani s901.

Let me know what you think!

Damn nice funk, man! Just a little tip, when playing in a horn section, remember to keep the vibrato and any other 'personalization' out of it - esp. on sop. The soprano and trumpet was really cool - I did some of that once but we sounded more like mariachi trumpets - it was probably my tone on soprano. :(

It is interesting that there is so much synth layered in the tracks, but that is the one instrument absent from the video.

The vibe reminds me a lot of early Lee Ritenour as well as Flim and the BBs.

Thanks for sharing that blast from the past. I didn’t know anyone was still doing it.

I notice this too, but even more so when the section is trumpet and alto. Both horns kind of live in the same register, so if the alto has a bright sound at all it's instant mariachi to me....it's why I prefer trumpet and tenor if I get a vote.....
