Making the SOTW Marketplace read-only for everyone except the seller has had the side effect of preventing members from offering stray comments on horns even when they don't intend to buy. Therefore, please allow me to chime in with compliments on a couple of saxes that have recently sold (I don't recommend this lateral approach for horns that haven't sold yet):

People here often opine that black lacquer doesn't wear well, but this is yet another example of a black sax that still looks great after many years.

https://forum.saxontheweb.net/showthread.php?370054-Yanagisawa-880-Tenor-Saxophone -- Really nice-looking T880! If I didn't already own a TWO1, I would have been sorely tempted by this Yany. In fact, I was sort of tempted by it even though I don't need another tenor.

People think black lacquer doesn't wear well? Mine (82z original version) is still minty fresh . . .

Always glad to hear of another fan of black lacquer.
