My daughter just started playing sax and was using a school beater. I saw this little Collegiate 566 alto on eBay for a great price and grabbed it. Off to the shop to resolder a key guard on, replace a few pads, address some leaks and get a new neck cork and we’re in business now! I haven’t showed it to her yet, as it’s a Christmas present. It’s actually in wonderful shape—lacquer original about 90%, pads decent too (minus the ones that got replaced). The pic of the serial number looks wavy but that’s just the camera—no dents at all. I just got it back from the shop and haven’t even played it yet—I just moved and need to locate my mouthpiece box wherever it is. She gets to learn on this—she doesn’t get my gold Rudy or either of my 232s or for that matter my Buescher (yet). 🙂
