Please forgive me if I have missed a previous thread; my searches did not appear to be fruitful.

I have read a few small books about Sax and the development of the Saxophone. I wondered if anyone has published a history of Henri Selmer (Selmer Paris)?

There are two books currently in development, one dealing with the history of Henri Selmer (the person) and the other being a detailed study of the instruments built by Selmer Paris. Both books are still at least a year away from publication.

I have a soft-cover (and what appears to be a self-published) book titled VINTAGE SELMER SAXOPHONES - The Collection of Ludwig (Lud) Toepfer. The publisher was the author, from Larkspur, CA.

It includes a history of the saxophone as well as Selmer saxophones, and many photos of the instruments the author owned and restored. It was copyrighted in 1998. I have the receipt showing I purchased it in 1998 from The House of Woodwinds (Oakland and San Ramon, CA. DAVE
