I like your approach adding all the clips. Is this a completely online course or a 'hybrid' in classroom with an online component? I've taught at the college level for 12+ years (computer science and networking not music) and I've found I almost always need to simplify things more than I originally thought, even for college level students. My suggestion would be you add a little more explanation of what you are doing when playing during the clips. " In this clip you are going to hear me play X,Y,Z over this chord and you should listen for ......etc."

Enjoy teaching it and don't be too hard on yourself - the first time around teaching any course it is always a little rough around the edges until you learn what works for students and what doesn't.

Thanks Keith. I've done college combos for five years but this a little different. It's really meant to be something that goes with the class. Something you can go back to when you try to remember what happened in class sort of thing
