What kind or model flutes did Herbie play?

Not sure but I THINK it was Haynes for C flute and Artley for alto and bass.

There's an ad for sale on ebay right now, where Artley was congratulating Mr. Mann for winning the 1965 Downbeat poll -- apparently he was playing their flutes at that time. Hey there's also an old 2 piece Artley student flute on there now -- I bought one of those awhile back. Kinda novel.

I have on eof those old Artley 2-piecers. Make sure you get the case!!! I looked for 2 years to find the case which is unique to the flute.
