Just heard he died.
Played with everybody from Benny Goodman to Albert Ayler.
Who else can claim such a career?
He went missing for years 'til he was discovered in a skid row L.A. hotel.
I was thrilled when Perry Robinson brought him to my humble house to "jam".
Rest Henry.

Oh man, what a story, what a jazz life. Imagine going from the heights of performing with the most elite musicians in the world, tapping into all of the incredible cosmic energy, to being down and out on Skid Row...
Henry was not a businessman, he was an ARTIST. And that this society judges us on how much bling we got. A shallow, ,sizzle society. Henry OTOH was the porterhouse steak.
Rest in Peace Henry. You did more with your life than 99% of us.
