Help with a Lebayle Metal LR

Hi,
I tried a 8 (110) and had no problems to play in all the register but I did not feel totally confortable with the tip opening (I am used to a 105) and with the sound a little too bright for me. Do you think if I order a 7 (100) or a 7* (105) I could get a little more centered tone with a harder reed?

I think I'll go for a 7. If it keeps the same strength and versatility it can be a VERY good mouthpiece for me...
