Hello everyone,
I am looking to get Yanagisawa A 880 S/N is 00135796 880
Could you guys confirm that this Serial Number belongs to A880 model and would be great to know what year it was made?
Also, what is the reasonable price of this horn today?

It definitely is an A-880.

According to saxpics.com, it should be from 1986.

The price is going to depend on what shape the horn and pads are in.

I noticed this horn is listed on eBay - and was previously sold by the same seller for $ 100 less than the current asking price. The price (before shipping) appears to be reasonable; however, I would consider asking the seller about sending with FedEx Fragile Pack - and corking the keys if possible.

I've seen A-880s go for under $ 900 at auction, and Saxquest has an A-991 currently $ 2,600.

Yes, an A 880. I owned 135791. Very nice altos!

Looks right to me. These altos are very nice players; very focused sound but resonant when set up well.

I looked at the ebay pics--- nice finish.
But the low B and Bb pads appear to be moldy grungy--- if those are that ugly, I would assume the rest are all in need of replacement. Maybe stinky also.
I doubt the seller can ship properly for $26.84
Remember YOU will get stuck with cost of return shipping if it isn't really "near mint".
