Many Chinese soprano saxes started as “ clones” or copies of another famous brands ( Selmer/Yanagisawa/Yamaha...)... I bought mine in Beijing some years ago . I did not know about sopranos and a seller helped me playing and selecting between different saxes on display at the store. I chose one Gulf Musical Instruments ( model “ Mark “ ) .
I am interested to know from which sax this one was modeled after( copied ? cloned ? )...
I am enclosing some pictures of parts of the sax , to ask you if you can help me to identify the model of the sax that was used to develop ( or copy ? ) this one .
many thanks for your collaboration.

It is based on Yanagisawa's S-880. Yanagisawa's later dual-neck models were made with a High G key. There is one noticeable difference between your horn and an S-880 though - the Front F key is styled after a newer model.

dear Sparq : many thanks. You are a really expert that knows about those saxophones. After your post I looked for Yanagisawa S-880 pictures and compared with my Chinese sax and found that the sax is identical in all aspects except in the style of the front F key as you said. Many thanks again.
