I'm trying to find some information about an alto which is my daughters rental. The serial number is N192508, which I think means it was made in Mexico in the 70's. The engraving looks kind of like a bunch of leaves, or sort of like a palm tree. I can add pics later if that will help, just dont have them with me now.
If I want to buy this, the price is 550.00
I picked up an Antigua Winds ww510 on ebay for 200 bucks which seems really nice, but of course my daughter is "used to" the feel of the Conn (the keys are a little looser, is that actuall a good or bad thing?)
Help me if you can!! thanks

The Mexican Conns are not of much value or quality, and neither is Antigua either. Both are money pits (you'll never get back what you put in, ever). You'll be better off finding an OLDER Conn (approximately 1920-1955) for your daughter. You might pay a little more than 550 for one, but it'll be an instrument she can use for the rest of her life, instead of for the rest of school.
