Meyer Bros Tenor MPC?

Hey Y'all,

Yesterday I scored a 1959 Buffet SDA - It was obviously a closet horn, untouched with the original warranty card and all.

The mouthpiece in the case is a hard rubber Meyer that says Meyer Bros, 5S, and New York.

I don't know anything about these vintage Meyers so I was hoping someone could help me out with some info regarding it's age and possible value.

Thanks,
Nico

Vintage Meyer tenors dont fetch big bucks. Theynare nicer than current models...value last I checked iwas in the 200ish range...but I dont keep current. Its a nice bonus to the good deal you already got though!

That's an original facing meyer brothers for tenor and as Phil said,Meyer tenors are the least popular of the vintage Meyers. They're facing number run smaller than for links so it is probably below an 80 tip.

I think Meyer’s number scale is part of the reason they are not popular on tenor. If you try the same number on Meyer as you use on a Link, you think these have a small sound.
