OK...well, there it is then. It is contemporary Evette model, by Buffet, made in ROC (Republic of China). Made maybe in the last 10-12 years.

Oddy, most people mistakenly believe ROC = China.

Actually, ROC = Taiwan = Republic of China.

PROC = China ('mainland') = People's Republic of China

These are Buffets student model horns. Respectable horns, quite honestly ; I have refurbished an alto and a tenor and to tell you the truth....it was hard to find anything which a Yamaha 21, 23, or 26 has over these horns.

They seem well-made, nothing chincy like cheapo asian budget horns, their ergos are comfy, and they sound pretty good.

Market value of a used one in respectable playing shape with no significant body damage, probably around $300-350.

the story on this one is that the owners grandfather bought it for him for school but it only got played a'few times and lost in a closet. i brought it to a music store and they had no idea what it was worth. it looks in mint condition other then the owner never cleaned it... just a little mark in the bottom.
