My coworker has an alto she played in jr. high school, mid 80's. We are having trouble identifying what brand of alto it is without actually being able to see it as it is in the states and we are not.

-The serial number is 5421
-It has a floral pattern in the front (which led me to think it was a true-tone)
-The letters in it are faded but it was determined that it looks something like "Arti So"
-Music's Greatest Trademark is also written into it.
-Made in Elkhart Indiana

Any ideas?

Thanks

...also, I checked out saxpics, the martin story and a list of conn serial numbers. To, me all indications are toward the Buescher series 1a but I wanted a second opinion.

loads of horns have floral engraving, you want mechanical details to be sure.
does it have the bell keys on one side (left or righbt) or split?
is it plated or lacquered or bare brass.
