If I remember the Yani sequence correctly correctly it was made in 06 of '78 and it's the 144th horn. This matches the numerical sequence of my Soprano, which I bought new in '77. It was made in 12 of '76. That would make it a B-6 I believe.

I can confirm the information about the bari being a B-6 - they're great horns, btw, so if it's up for grabs, don't miss it. If it's already yours, all the better :)

Interesting info about the first two digits - I'm actually very curious if this is truely and consistently correct (month of production) - this'd mean that the first two digits of any avialable B-6 need to be between 01 and 12 - can anyone confirm? Mine fit (1278****) - but I think I recall conflicting evidence on the first two digits. Additionally, could it be the case that if the month requires only one digit, it's arbitrarily a "0*" or a "*0"? That'd solve all "strange" cases of numberings I'm aware of...
