Some earlier couesnons had a circle with a flame above ( a flaming grenade ) with a 2 digit number inside these were the year of manufacture e.g 28 = 1928
Help Finding Out the Date of Couesnon Alto
Hi,
I need help finding out the production year of a Couesnon alto. On the bell, it says Couesnon Paris Monopole Conservatoire. Underneath the inscription is a picture of what appears to be to chicken heads with an axe between and above the two.
I found the serial number around the F key; it is #9743. Everywhere I looked has had no information on the production year of this serial number.
Does anyone know the year for this sax and serial number?
