I was unsure where to post this, if this is in the wrong place I apologize.

I haven't really touched my Tenor saxophone in about 10 years maybe 12 years. I joined the military and went overseas, and I realized after I got out when I looked at the pills the VA gave me that I need to try another method of working on my mental health. I took my Tenor out of the case and started playing it, and I realize that it needs an adjustment. I'm also looking at picking up an Alto Sax in the near future. I was hoping for Tech recommendations in the Houston Area. Not really sure where to start when looking for a Tech.

Thank you

Thank you! I'll give them a call tomorrow about getting my Tenor up and running. Thank you. Also if I order a saxophone online, should I factor in a tune up as part of the cost of the horn?
Depends...are you buying new or used ?

IF you buy used, from a seller who guarantees horn will arrive in good playing shape (a seller such as myself, LOL) then you'd be pretty set.
If you buy used on eBay or a selelr who will make no such guarantee and have a return policy, then yes...good idea to factor in around $200 of tech work (assuming horn appears to be in good shape).

If buying new....it probably would NOT need to be set up by a tech, although even brand new horns might need a few tweaks; so in the instance of new, I would have a tech look it over once received just to see how it is .

Best of luck..
