Hi, hope it's the correct forum.
Just playing a few months, my ability to read music is limited! I can play it if I hear it first. I have all three Eb Real Books. I can play the following :
I left my heart in San Francisco
The Lady is a tramp
Ain't misbehavin'
Tea for two
Fly me to the moon
Over the rainbow
Misty
The girl from Ipanema

I've looked at the rest of the tunes in the books but don't know them, I do have a lot of jazz tunes on CD etc but mostly sound hard to my ears to play!
What I'm looking for is if anybody would be kind enough to take the time to list a few "tuneful" tunes from any of the Eb books that would kinda fit in with what I've listed above.
Many thanks for your time.
Regards,
PaulieBoy

You tube might be a good friend for you right now. You can hear a song and maybe some ideas of solo stuff to work on as well. Anything in your books would be considered kind of a standard tune to learn.
Good luck

Take the A Train
Satin Doll
Blue Bossa
Sommertime
...now you've got a complete set. Work on it til you've got it cold, then perform it. After performing it, you'll get ideas for your second set. :)
