Lee Konitz-Tomasz Stanko Quintet (Tuesday through Sept. 17) Lee Konitz, the intuitive and stubbornly inventive alto saxophonist, has lately been recovering from health setbacks, which lends this engagement the unavoidable air of a comeback. He’ll have a worthy frontline partner in the acclaimed Polish trumpeter Tomasz Stanko, and they’ll have the benefit of a dynamic rhythm section with Dan Tepfer on piano, Thomas Morgan on bass and Jim Black on drums.
