I have a Haynes flute that the serial number dates it to 1953. Any ideas what this would be worth? I want to make sure to get it insured for a correct amount.

Thank you!

Depends greatly on the model and features. Commercial or handmade? Open hole or plateau? B-foot? C# trill? Condition? You can also write to Haynes, I guess, and ask them for a valuation based on the serial number.

Most likely a closed hole standard model with a C foot. If so, in good condition, $1,200-1,800 depending on pads a finish.
