Has this B75 been modified?

I am totally new to the Baritone. I have an old vintage Bari and looking around for a mouthpiece to get the best from it I decided to indulge myself with a B75 modified by Erik Greiffenhagen - bought from junkdude.

When it arrived, the box is marked by Erik, but the mpc has no markings etched on at all to suggest it has been modified. I emailed Teresa at junkdude with photos to ask if there had been a simple mistake such as an unmodified mouthpiece going in the wrong box, or could she tell from the photos if it had been modified.

She was fantastic, has forwarded the photos to Dave there to ask, said to send the piece back for marking even if it is confirmed as modified. I couldn't have asked for more - except for that final email that confirms it has been modified! It will probably come, but it has been a few days yet. I have also tried emailing Erik from his mouthpieceguys site.

I do not have any issue with junkdude at all - its just that if it has been modified I don't really want get it to make 2 transatlantic journeys and wait a month before I can play it. So the sooner I know the better.

So - can anybody tell me definitely from the pictures below if it has been modified to be the double chanmber and altered baffle that Erik modifies to?

Mystery solved

I had an email to say there had been a mistake. The mouthpiece will be on its way back.

Easy mistake - I look forward to receiving the modified one.
I did try the unmodified one before I thought it odd there were no markings.

The most important thing here, though, is the first sentence of the post - I am new to Bari.

I started on alto, went to tenor, then to soprano - but my main instrument is clarinet - and I didn't find getting the sound I wanted too difficult going from clarinet to any of the first three. Dexterity is lacking, but I am happy with the sound for where I am with the instruments at the moment.

The Bari is a different beast! It is not subtle - or at least I can't get it to be subtle! The B75 gives a great sound to the instrument. All the notes are there. I love it. From what I read from others here and the help from junkdude I think the modified mouthpiece will help me tame the intonation.

My one problem is jumping from the :line5: # to:space1: # - don't know why. The notes speak on a run - but going down that octave jump I just can't hit it yet. I'll give it time and practice.

Long winded way of saying I can't give an appraisal of the B75 - but I sense I am going to enjoy the bari - takes me back to my youth when one of my instruments was the tuba (Eb bass)
