Bird played tenor with Earl Hines' big band. Unfortunately, this was during the recording ban, so there is essentially no evidence of this. I know there are photos out there. Somebody posted one on a FB saxophone great a few months ago. I'll see if I can track it down.

The song Quasimodo is probably his most famous recording where he played tenor.
Quasimodo is on alto not tenor... a melody over the chords to Embraceable You.

The tenor studio recordings he made where mostly with Miles Davis as leader:

There are some bootleg recordings of Bird on tenor at this time playing jam sessions with Dizzy who was in the Earl Hines band at the same time.
