I have played various versions that were all finished by Eric Falcon, and liked them a lot.
I think they initially sold as MacSax, and also under Eric Falcons Brand and Retro Revival - all as Sheppard Sig III - and are now called Modern Line. From what I have tried these were all the same.
I have not tried pieces that were not finished by Eric.
Has anyone compared these?
I actually think it plays focused - compared for example with a Slant Tone Edge.
It is free blowing and easy to play - and gives a great sound at the same time.
People who prefer resistant pieces might not like it as much.
Version II of this mouthpiece is darker and more spread with more resistance - but also very good.
Cheers,
Rudolf
