Probably the result of my not wiping dry my horn as frequently as I should, stubborn spots & stains have appeared on my matte gold plated R&C....particularly around the back of the bell.
I have tried cleaning with all the usual non abrasive products to no avail. The marks are very stubborn indeed....probably due to the tiny interstices caused by the bead blasting prior to the gold plate application.
I spotted this on eBay & wondered if anyone has used it.

I would, of course, dismantle the horn, & remove my wife from the bath before dunking my saxophone.
If it is not suitable for any reason, can anyone tell me how to clean my saxophone.
It appears, from the advertisement, that it works only on tenor saxophones, so OK so far. :)
Many thanks.

I am no metallurgist but I would be worried about corrosion in the spring area since there are different metals coming together and it would be very difficult to rinse these areas.

Good point....the electrolytic effect.
However, it should, at the very least, clean the bath. :)
No problem rinsing....just put the horn under the cold tap.
