So, I've got this awesome gig bag that I really dig. It's a Reunion Blues 25th anniversary edition that is made to look like the old faux crocodile cases. This one is real leather, but it is actually cow's hide. It was an impulse buy at a time when I really couldn't afford it, yet I've never regretted buying it. I've always gotten tons of compliments on it. However, it is a gig bag, so offers little protection. Somehow I managed to avoid damaging my SX90R carrying it in this bag for over 10 years, but now I'm playing a SBA, and I really can't justify using it for that horn. I've got a Walt Johnson case for the SBA, but it has little room for storage. I'd love to get a custom case cover made for it in the approximate style of my gig bag, but have no idea whom to approach. Probably not a case manufacturer. Does anyone specialize in covers anymore? There used to be Jean Cavallero, but I don't think they are in business anymore. Wondering if it even needs to be someone who specifically does music stuff. Maybe a tailor, or seamstress, or a leather worker??? Anyone ever do anything like this before?

I think the company is Colorado Case Co. or similar that bought Cavallero. Maybe some googling will find it.

I had a case cover made for my Weltklang bari case by an upholsterer about 14 years ago.
He made it out of heavy duty canvas (black) with a metal zipper and metal bumpers on the bottom.
He left a slit for the handle to stick through.
It fits very well and I only unzip it to unlatch and lift the case open with the cover still on and pull out the sax.
Cost $200.00, which was a lot at the time but well worth it.

I have three leather cases.
One looks the same as your one. ie semi padded.
Two, which are case covers. One is “Reunion blues”. The other is “Mooradian”.

I would sell all/any of them.

I don’t know how big your present case is, but to give you an idea of size.
I have a Berkeley of London case. It fits either of mine. A bit more room in the “Reunion”

But I also have an SKB and Hiscox case. Both of those are too big for either cover.

Ps you will see scuffs on all !! Not damage, but does need something appropriate and some “elbow grease”

In principle there are several people out there able to make a canvas cover,

however , if you are looking for a new very protective leather case, I'd go for the Protec leather, shame it is black, I'd love a nice Tan color

Protecs are Hard shell cases, by the way
